- Identify potential construction, operational or technical issues and work with contractors and consultants to resolve them.

base-building requirements and other operational considerations associated with tenant construction.
- Review project documentation, scopes of work, specifications and contractor submissions.
- Support the planning and execution of capital, building improvement and tenant-related projects.
- Obtain and review contractor quotations and assist with procurement of specialized services.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor the quality of work being completed.
- Ensure construction activities comply with applicable building codes, health and safety requirements and property standards.
- Work closely with property management and building operations teams to ensure projects are successfully integrated into ongoing building operations.
- Support ongoing building operations, maintenance and facility initiatives as required.
- Assist with budgets, forecasting, project documentation and reporting.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to contractors, trades and internal operations staff.

The Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical building knowledge and project/construction experience.

You may come from either a construction/project management background or a building operations/facilities background.

We're looking for:

- 5+ years of experience in construction, building operations, facilities management, engineering or a related technical workplace.
- Experience working with tenant improvements, commercial construction or building projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Experience reviewing drawings, scopes of work, specifications and construction documentation.
- Experience working directly with General Contractors, trades, consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of commercial building systems and construction processes.
- Knowledge of building codes, health & safety requirements and construction standards.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Building Systems, Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline would be an asset.
