About us: Grizzly Hood Cleaners is a kitchen exhaust cleaning company serving restaurants and commercial kitchens across Ottawa. We help our clients stay compliant with fire codes and insurance requirements by keeping their hoods, ducts, and fans clean and secure. We're looking for a dependable Hood Cleaning Assistant to join our crew. The role: Work alongside a lead technician to clean kitchen exhaust systems — hoods, filters, ductwork, and rooftop fans. This is a hands-on, physically demanding job that often takes place at night while restaurants are closed and sometimes in the morning. Schedule: Mornings, evenings and overnight. Shifts usually take 2.5 to 4 hours. Key responsibilities: - Assist the lead technician with cleaning hoods, filters, ductwork,
and exhaust fans - Set up and take down work areas - Scrape, degrease, and pressure-wash hood and hood filters - Carry and operate equipment (pressure washers, ladders, tools, chemicals) - Access rooftops and confined spaces safely - Clean up the work site completely before leaving Must-haves: - Ability to work nights, mornings, and varied shifts - Physically fit — able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders - Comfortable working on rooftops and in confined areas - No prior experience required How to apply: Apply on Indeed.
