The 2 YEAR MACHINIST supports CNC machining and manufacturing work, helping produce accurate parts and keep shop-floor operations organized. The role combines equipment operation, measurement, and collaboration with colleagues to maintain dependable production.
Duties
- Operate CNC lathes and CNC milling machines, using Fanuc or Mazatrol controls as applicable.
- Read blueprints, use calipers and hand tools, and apply basic math to check dimensions and support accurate machining.
- Assist with CNC programming, assembly, and manufacturing tasks; use power tools and follow lean manufacturing practices.
- Apply mechanical knowledge and CAD or SolidWorks skills when supporting production work; welding and forklift operation may also be practical.
- Your impact: Accurate parts and clear coordination help colleagues keep production moving smoothly.
Experience
Required: Practical machining capabilities include blueprint reading, basic measurement with calipers, basic math, and safe use of CNC equipment and hand tools. Mechanical knowledge supports accurate work and effective coordination with the production team.
Preferred: Experience with Mazatrol or Fanuc controls, CNC programming, CNC lathes, milling machines, CAD, or SolidWorks is advantageous. Familiarity with manufacturing, lean practices, assembly, power tools, welding, or forklift operation can further support shop-floor versatility.
Pay: $21.77-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 per week
