Production Baker / Waffle Production Lead

European Waffle & Bakery Production Facility – Vancouver

We are seeking a reliable, mature, and hands-on Production Baker to join our growing team. This is a stable, long-term position for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in quality production, and is looking for a career rather than just a job.

Over time, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for production operations and eventually oversee daily waffle production.

Key Responsibilities

- Scale and mix dough according to established recipes
- Monitor dough development, fermentation, and proofing
- Divide, portion, and shape dough products
- Operate commercial waffle baking equipment
- Monitor product quality and consistency
- Pack finished products and prepare orders
- Maintain ingredient, packaging, and finished goods inventory
- Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas
- Clean waffle irons and perform daily equipment maintenance
- Report maintenance issues and assist with preventative maintenance
- Follow food safety and quality control procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment

Qualifications

- Previous bakery, and bread production experience is essential
- Experience scaling and mixing dough is a core skill
- Strong attention to detail and product consistency
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
- Able to work independently and manage daily production tasks
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Comfortable performing cleaning and sanitation duties as part of the daily operation
- Mature, responsible, and dependable

- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- No overnight shifts

This is a production-focused position involving daily dough preparation, baking, inventory management, cleaning, sanitation, and equipment maintenance. Compensation:

$25 starting, depending on experience and qualifications.
