Job Description

RightKind Care is seeking an exceptional Household Assistant / Personal Support Worker to support an active, independent professional living in a private residence in Hamilton.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines the practical skills of a household assistant with the training, judgment and adaptability of a Personal Support Worker.

The client is currently fully independent and does not require personal care or medical assistance. The immediate focus is on household organization, errands, transportation and practical day-to-day support.

We are looking for someone who can build a consistent, trusted working relationship and adapt to changing needs over time.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, dependable and comfortable taking direction from someone who values her independence.

Key Responsibilities

Household Assistance and Organization

- Assist with organizing cupboards, closets, storage areas and household belongings.
- Help complete household projects and everyday tasks.
- Provide light housekeeping and general household upkeep.
- Assist with carrying groceries, moving lightweight household items and other practical tasks.
- Work alongside the homeowner to complete projects efficiently.

Errands and Transportation

- Complete grocery shopping, pharmacy pickups and other errands.
- Provide transportation to appointments, shopping and local destinations when requested.
- Assist with coordinating deliveries, pickups and household services.
- Help manage practical tasks that become difficult to fit into a busy schedule.

Organization and Ongoing Support

- Learn the homeowner's preferences,



routines and household priorities.
- Follow instructions carefully while exercising good judgment.
- Help keep household tasks organized and on schedule.
- Communicate clearly about completed tasks and outstanding needs.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities if the client's needs change, within the worker's qualifications and agreed scope of duties.

Qualifications and Requirements

- PSW certification strongly preferred, but exceptional candidates with relevant household assistance experience will also be considered.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Comfortable driving in Hamilton and surrounding areas.
- Previous experience in home support, personal assistance, household management or a similar role.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, discreet and trustworthy.
- Comfortable taking direction and respecting established routines.
- Physically capable of navigating stairs, carrying groceries and performing light household tasks.
- Robust communication skills.
- Ability to provide professional references.
- Willingness to complete RightKind Care's screening and onboarding requirements.
