We are assisting with recruitment for an experienced Production Manager to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, lead production teams, and ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily production operations to meet safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery targets.
- Coordinate production schedules, staffing, materials, and equipment to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and develop production supervisors, team leaders, and shop-floor employees.
- Manage employee performance, attendance, training, and staffing requirements.
- Promote a safe workplace and ensure compliance with Ontario health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Scheduling to resolve production issues.
- Address quality concerns, reduce scrap and rework, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production performance, labour efficiency, overtime, and operating costs.




- Maintain positive employee relations and administer the collective agreement in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

- College diploma, skilled-trades background, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Previous experience in production management, plant operations, or manufacturing supervision.
- Experience in fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, or industrial equipment manufacturing is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage production schedules, and improve operational performance.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with CWB-certified welding operations and CSA W47.1/W59 standards is an asset.

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
