SECURITY GUARD AND MOBILE PATROL CONTRACTORS

Island Guardian Security is seeking experienced security professionals for static guard and mobile patrol assignments in the Nanaimo, Parksville, and Qualicum Beach areas.

We protect the communities we call home. We’re looking for dependable, personable contractors who communicate well, use sound judgment, and treat clients and the public with respect.

OPPORTUNITIES

Static Security: Provide a visible, professional security presence at client sites.

Mobile Patrol: Conduct patrol visits using your own reliable vehicle. Mileage is paid separately at the agreed rate.

REQUIREMENTS

- At least 5 years of security experience

- Valid Basic Security Training (BST) certificate

- Advanced Security Training (AST) is an asset

- Able and willing to travel to Nanaimo, Parksville, and Qualicum Beach as assignments require

- For mobile patrol: a reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s licence,



and appropriate vehicle insurance

- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working independently

- Solid communication and customer-service skills

COMPENSATION AND CONTRACTOR ARRANGEMENT

The service rate is $23–$25 per hour, depending on experience. Mobile patrol mileage is paid separately at the agreed rate.

This is an independent security contractor opportunity. Contractors are self-employed and provide security services to Island Guardian Security under a written agreement. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and other self-employment obligations.
