Overview

The Snow Plow Operator helps keep routes clear and accessible during winter weather. This hands-on role involves operating snow-clearing equipment, responding to changing conditions, and supporting secure, efficient travel for the people who rely on maintained routes.

Duties

- Operate snow plows and other heavy equipment to clear snow from assigned routes and work areas.
- Monitor conditions, adjust work as needed, and communicate route or equipment concerns to colleagues.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic upkeep, reporting repair needs promptly.
- Coordinate equipment and freight movement when needed to support timely, organized operations.

Requirements

Required:



Practical ability to operate heavy equipment safely, follow instructions, assess changing conditions, and communicate clearly with colleagues. Attention to equipment condition and dependable coordination support effective snow-clearing work.

Preferred: Commercial driving experience, forklift operation, freight handling, or automotive repair skills are useful strengths for this role. Related experience can help you adapt to equipment needs, assist with logistics, and contribute to a responsive winter operations team.

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 60.0 per week
