Adventure Growth Space is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Dance Instructors to join our team and provide engaging dance programs for children.
We welcome instructors with experience in different dance styles, including but not limited to:
- Hip-Hop
- K-Pop
- Jazz
- Ballet
- Contemporary
- Street Dance
- Chinese Dance
- Latin Dance
- Musical Theatre / Performance Dance
You do not need to teach all styles. We welcome applicants who specialize in one or more areas.
Responsibilities
- Teach fun and engaging dance classes for children ages 5+
- Plan age-appropriate lessons based on your dance specialty
- Teach dance technique, movement, rhythm, musicality, and choreography
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
- Develop routines for classes and performances
- Help students build confidence, coordination, and performance skills
- Prepare students for showcases and special events when needed
Qualifications
- Strong dance training and/or performance background
- Experience teaching dance to children is preferred
- Expertise in one or more dance styles
- Patient, energetic, creative, and responsible
- Able to plan and lead classes independently
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Choreography and performance experience is an asset
Position Details
- Job Type: Part-time
- Location: Richmond, BC
- Schedule: Weekday afternoons and/or weekends
- Classes may be scheduled based on the instructor's specialty and availability
