Snow Removal Labourer / Snow Shoveler – $22–$25/Hour Company: Imperial City Services Location: Stouffville, Ontario Reporting Location: 8429 York Durham Line Job Type: Seasonal / On-Call Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Days, nights, weekends, and holidays as weather conditions require Job Summary Imperial City Services is seeking dependable, hardworking, and motivated Snow Removal Labourers to join our winter maintenance team. This hands-on position involves clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, stairways, and other designated pedestrian areas at school-board, municipal, and commercial properties. Our company provides professional winter maintenance services throughout York Region and Durham Region. Successful candidates must be reliable, physically capable of performing outdoor winter maintenance work, and comfortable working in challenging weather conditions. Responsibilities - Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, stairways, and pedestrian areas.

- Operate snowblowers, power brooms, and other snow removal equipment.

- Apply salt and approved de-icing materials to maintain safe walking surfaces.

- Maintain school-board, municipal, and commercial properties.

- Monitor changing weather conditions and identify areas requiring additional attention.

- Follow assigned routes and complete work within established service deadlines.

- Work alongside snow plow operators and other crew members.

- Inspect equipment before use and report mechanical or safety concerns.





- Maintain accurate records of completed work when required.

- Follow all company safety procedures and operating standards.

- Respond to scheduled and emergency snow removal operations. Experience and Qualifications Required: - Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in winter conditions.

- Ability to shovel snow, lift equipment, and remain active for extended periods.

- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependability.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Availability for overnight, early-morning, weekend, and holiday shifts.

- Reliable transportation to our reporting location in Stouffville.

- Ability to follow instructions and safely operate snow removal equipment.

- Willingness to respond to short-notice snow removal callouts. Preferred: - Previous commercial snow removal experience.

- Experience operating snowblowers, power brooms, and other winter maintenance equipment.

- Experience applying salt and de-icing materials.

- Experience maintaining municipal, school-board, or commercial properties.

- Valid Ontario driver's licence.

- Previous landscaping, grounds maintenance, or outdoor labour experience. Previous experience is an asset but not required.



Training will be provided to suitable candidates. Compensation Hourly Pay: $22.00–$25.00 Starting wages are determined by relevant experience, equipment operation skills, and qualifications. Work Schedule This is a seasonal, weather-dependent position. Snow removal operations take place whenever weather conditions require service, including overnight shifts, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts generally range from 8–12 hours depending on snowfall accumulation, weather conditions, and assigned routes. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary according to winter weather conditions.
