Toronto Academy of EMC is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic High School Science Teacher – Chemistry / Biology / Physics who plans and delivers engaging science instruction that helps students build subject knowledge, ask questions, and apply concepts. The role supports learning through explicit explanations, structured activities, and responsive guidance across chemistry, biology, and physics.
Duties
- Teach science lessons, explain concepts, and use math to support problem-solving and interpretation of results.
- Prepare and guide laboratory activities, reinforcing safe, organized participation and careful observation.
- Adapt instruction for varied learning needs, including students who benefit from special education strategies.
- Provide tutoring and communicate student progress and learning needs clearly with colleagues.

Experience
Required: Strong teaching, communication, and math capabilities support clear instruction, effective classroom guidance, and accurate explanations of scientific concepts. The role also calls for adapting lessons to student needs and guiding structured learning activities.
Preferred: Classroom experience, tutoring, laboratory experience, and familiarity with special education approaches can strengthen support for diverse learners and practical science instruction.
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
