Creston Employment is currently hiring an experienced and reliable HVAC Technician on behalf of our client.
This is an on call, piece work chance. The successful technician will receive service and installation leads and will be responsible for attending the customer's location, assessing the job, and completing the required HVAC work professionally and efficiently.
There is no fixed schedule or guaranteed number of hours. Jobs will be offered based on customer demand and the technician's availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer locations for HVAC service, repair, maintenance, and installation jobs.
- Diagnose HVAC issues and determine the appropriate solution.
- Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Provide updates and job completion details.
- Identify additional repair or service requirements when applicable.
- Follow all applicable safety requirements, codes, and industry standards.
- Maintain a professional image while representing the client.
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to customer locations.
- Valid driver's license is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
The following licenses and qualifications are preferred and considered a strong asset:
- G2 Gas Technician License
- Master Electrician License
- Master Plumber License
- Additional HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, or plumbing certifications are an asset.
Compensation
Piece Work / Per Job
Compensation will be based on the type and scope of each completed job. The rate will be discussed and agreed upon before the technician accepts the assignment.
