Part-Time Household Assistant & Family Helper
- South Etobicoke | $32/hour We're a family in South Etobicoke looking for a reliable, proactive person to help our afternoons after school and work run smoothly. Our main priorities are preparing straightforward family dinners, folding laundry and keeping everyday household tasks on track, alongside some after-school care for our two boys, ages 5 and 8. This role would suit someone who enjoys both caring for a home and spending time with children, and is comfortable following an established routine without needing direction for every task. Schedule & pay
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, up to five hours per day / 15 hours per week.
- Afternoon shifts covering approximately 3-6 p.m., with earlier starts to be agreed upon.
- $32 per hour.
- Live-out position. What you'll help with
- Preparing simple family dinners, aiming to have dinner ready or close to ready by 4:45-5 p.m. We'll generally provide ingredients and instructions, and welcome someone who is confident in the kitchen.
- Folding and putting away laundry.
- Unpacking backpacks and lunchboxes, preparing after-school snacks and occasionally packing lunches for the next day.
- Doing dishes, tidying the kitchen and keeping everyday family spaces organized.
- Supervising the children as needed while they play or do homework.
- Occasional school pickup from a nearby school,



approximately a five-minute drive away. Dad is often home and typically handles our older son's sports activities. Childcare will vary depending on the day's logistics and may mainly involve supervising our younger son while Dad is out. We need someone comfortable taking responsibility for the children when needed while also managing the afternoon household routine. We have a regular house cleaner, so cleaning bathrooms, floors and other deep-cleaning tasks are not part of this role. Who we're looking for Someone warm, dependable and organized, with experience supporting a family household and caring for children. You should be comfortable preparing everyday meals, prioritizing tasks and noticing what needs to be done. A valid driver's licence and your own vehicle are required, even though school pickup will only be needed occasionally. When responding, please share:
