Teach academic English at the University of Ottawa’s OLBI during the 2027 Winter Semester, developing students’ listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills.

This Part time Language Instructor teaches ESL 120: Academic Development in English at the Main Campus. The course builds longer-passage comprehension and introduces academic oral presentations and paragraph organization. Instruction is in English, Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, from January 12 to April 16, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach ESL 120: Academic Development in English
- Develop understanding of longer listening and reading passages
- Introduce academic oral presentation requirements
- Teach paragraphs using varied organizational patterns
- Collaborate through team-teaching when applicable

Requirements:

- Master’s degree in second language teaching, TESL, or related discipline
- Two years teaching ESL at college or university level
- Previous experience teaching this course or equivalent
- Experience with team-teaching
- TESL Certification or equivalent
