Deliver anesthesia support with airway management and respiratory therapy at Oak Valley Health across perioperative and related care areas. Work under direct anesthesiologist supervision.

This expanded Anesthesia Assistant position provides clinical and technical support to patients in perioperative areas, Labour and Delivery, MRI, and outpatient procedure suites. You will support general, regional, and local anesthesia while following professional standards, hospital policies, medical directives, and physician orders. The role includes respiratory therapy and team-oriented patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess, monitor, and initiate anesthesia-related patient interventions
- Support induction, maintenance, and emergence phases
- Manage airways and provide manual ventilation




- Establish intravenous and arterial access
- Provide respiratory therapy services in PACU

Requirements:

- Complete an accredited Advanced Anesthesia Assistant program
- Hold CRTO or College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- Maintain current BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Bring two years of Critical Care or Operating Room experience
- Have three years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
