Design overhead and underground electrical distribution systems for Aecon Utilities using technical drawings, calculations, and construction packages in a hybrid work model.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Design, the Designer, Project supports electrical distribution projects within Aecon Utility Engineering. The work involves design delivery, technical documentation, utility design software, and coordination with clients, contractors, field staff, and stakeholders. Projects may require travel.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete drawings and calculations meeting ESA, CEC, and CSA requirements
- Prepare schedules, estimates, permits, and construction packages
- Conduct pre-design inspections, worksite visits, and construction support
- Prepare project status and technical reports




- Coordinate with clients, contractors, field staff, and stakeholders

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Three to five years designing OH and UG distribution systems
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- AutoCAD experience and solid computer skills
- Valid G driver’s license and vehicle access required
