Interior Health seeks an experienced, reliable, adaptable, and motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant for its Medical Laboratory Department. The role supports safe, convenient, respectful, and accessible laboratory services within a 24/7 tertiary hospital. Programs include chemistry, hematology, microbiology, histopathology, cytology, and transfusion medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood and specimen samples from patients
- Prepare blood and other specimens for analysis
- Distribute specimens to departments and outside laboratories
- Operate related laboratory equipment
- Enter data into the Laboratory Information System
Requirements:
- Experience as a Medical Laboratory Assistant
- Reliable, flexible, and motivated approach
- Interest in Medical Laboratory Science
- Availability for rotating days, evenings, and nights
- Ability to perform related clerical duties
