The Process Engineer - SMT Support develops, documents, and sustains surface mount technology manufacturing processes. You will support production lines, investigate root causes, analyze process data, and improve yields. The position also contributes to Current Product Introduction through DFM reviews, validation, pilot builds, and ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support stencil printing, SPI, placement, reflow, AOI, and selective soldering
- Maintain work instructions, machine programs, and setup standards
- Investigate yield, quality, reliability, and solder defect issues
- Optimize cycle times, throughput,
setup reduction, and OEE
- Validate equipment, tooling, materials, and process changes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline
- Five or more years of SMT process engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of SMT equipment and PCB manufacturing processes
- Experience with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards
- Ability to analyze data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
