Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Canada is seeking a senior accountant for its recent plant start-up. You will manage capital projects, fixed asset records, month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis. The position reports directly to the Director of Finance and supports Hipore™ battery separator manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage capital expenditure accounting for construction and operational projects
- Maintain fixed asset subledger additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
- Reconcile construction-in-progress projects through timely capitalization




- Prepare financial statements and monthly closing support schedules
- Support grants, tax incentives, and funding documentation requirements

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field
- Five-plus years of relevant general accounting experience
- Experience with fixed assets and construction-in-progress accounting
- Knowledge of Canadian GAAP and ASPE
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and ERP experience
