This senior procurement management role supports a major public sector procurement partnership serving multiple local authorities. You will shape strategic plans across Health & Social Care, Assets & Infrastructure, and Corporate & Business categories. The work includes complex tenders, contract management, commercial efficiencies, and team-oriented projects across partner councils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic procurement plans across major spend categories
- Lead procurement projects worth £50m to £100m
- Influence directors, stakeholders, and partner organisations
- Improve value for money, efficiency,
and service delivery
- Lead tendering and contract management activity
Requirements:
- Significant senior-level procurement management experience
- CIPS Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
- Strategic procurement and category management experience
- Understanding of public procurement regulations and legislation
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills
