The Produce Champion supports Healthy Planet’s produce department through customer education, merchandising, and quality-focused handling. You will explain ripeness, storage, preparation, wellness, and seasonality while maintaining organized displays. The work also includes receiving deliveries, rotating inventory, supporting campaigns, and sharing knowledge with team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and answer produce inquiries warmly
- Recommend products according to seasonality and wellness goals
- Explain storage, ripeness, and freshness techniques
- Promote featured products through demonstrations and signage
- Mentor team members through shared produce knowledge
Requirements:
- One to two years of produce or grocery experience preferred
- Deep understanding of produce handling and seasonal trends
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of organic produce or wellness is an asset
- Versatile availability, including weekends and holidays
