Use French and English claims expertise with ARAG Canada in Toronto, Montreal, or Ottawa. Assess coverage and resolve legal expense claims.
Reporting to the Claims Manager, this Bilingual Claims Adjuster supports ARAG Canada’s presence in the legal expense insurance market. You will review claims, assess coverage, and coordinate files with insureds, brokers, lawyers, and internal clients. The position also includes training, policy support, and accounting assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review recent and potential claims under applicable insurance contracts
- Resolve simple to moderate claims and coverage issues
- Deliver product and risk management training to lawyers
- Maintain relationships with external lawyers and firms
- Coordinate files and report liability and damages exposure
Requirements:
- Three to five years of claims adjusting experience
- Fluency in French and English
- AMF claims adjuster licence in Quebec
- Understanding of legal fees and billing assessment
- Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
