Operate heavy equipment in Thunder Bay, Ontario, using pre-operation inspections and safe material movement on a rotating schedule. This full-time role supports construction sites.

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will work under a foreman’s supervision within a structured construction team. You will load, transport, and move materials while following plans, instructions, and applicable health and safety standards. Equipment includes rigid or articulated trucks, tractors, and excavators.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform pre-operation inspections before using assigned equipment
- Ensure equipment systems function properly before operation
- Drive and operate rigid or articulated trucks
- Operate tractors, excavators, and other equipment
- Coordinate construction tasks with the site team

Requirements:

- DEP in heavy equipment operation or equivalent experience
- General explosives permit considered an asset
- Ability to follow plans and site instructions
- Ability to follow applicable health and safety standards
- Availability for a rotating schedule
