Support tenants at Drake Road Supportive Housing in Salt Spring Island using crisis intervention and trauma-informed practice. This casual role includes wide-ranging shifts.

Lookout Housing and Health Society seeks a Tenant Support Worker reporting to the Site Manager. You will assist adults with low or no income through support, education, skills training, and ongoing work toward independence. The position involves tenant assessments, service planning, medication and financial administration, and health and safety responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Participate in tenant intakes and provide support services
- Identify challenges and develop tenant service plans
- Provide crisis intervention and administer finances and medication
- Complete paperwork and maintain statistical and evaluative data
- Work with tenants to meet basic needs

Requirements:

- Diploma in Community Social Service
- Two years related experience or equivalent qualifications
- OFA 1 First Aid Certificate
- Vulnerable Sector criminal record clearance
- Successful respirator fit testing and clean-shaven seal area
