We are seeking an experienced Food Service Manager to join our team and support our long-term care and retirement home operations. - Oversee daily food service operations and provide leadership and support to dietary staff.
- Promote resident satisfaction and ensure high-quality meal service.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
- Train, mentor, and support team members to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Contribute to menu planning, special events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with applicable Ontario legislation. What You Bring
- CSNM membership (required).
- A minimum of three years of food service supervisory experience; experience in long-term care, hospitals, or retirement homes is preferred.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a unionized environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety requirements and applicable Ontario regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- The ability to perform essential physical duties, including lifting up to 30 lbs, with reasonable accommodation where required.




- Food Handler Certification (preferred).
- The ability to meet applicable police record check and Vulnerable Sector Screening requirements before hire, where legally permitted and required. Why Join NMS?
