Salary:
Up to $60,000 per year SSP Truck Line is seeking a proactive, organized, and dependable Dispatcher to join our growing transportation and logistics team. In this key role, you will coordinate daily freight movements, communicate with drivers and customers, monitor shipments, and help ensure pickups and deliveries are completed safely and on time. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent communication and attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and prioritize daily dispatch schedules to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and other stakeholders by phone and email.
- Monitor driver and shipment status throughout the day and respond quickly to delays, breakdowns, appointment changes, or other operational issues.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments and provide customers with accurate shipment updates.
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment, dispatch, driver, and delivery information in company systems.
- Use Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software to track freight and manage dispatch operations.
- Monitor freight movements and ensure shipments are progressing according to schedule.
- Review shipping and operational data to identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and costs.
- Assist with shipping and receiving coordination when required.
- Maintain detailed dispatch records, shipment logs, incident reports,



and supporting documentation.
- Ensure drivers and shipments comply with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety standards.
- Work closely with management and the operations team to resolve service issues and maintain strong customer relationships. Qualifications & Experience
- Previous dispatching, transportation, trucking, logistics, or 3PL experience is preferred.
- Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) or similar logistics software is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, freight movement, and supply chain operations is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Strong data-entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain professional and calm when handling time-sensitive situations.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience is an asset but not required.
