Overview We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Industrial Maintenance & Commissioning Technician to support the installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment at our St. Catharines facility. Our equipment includes PET stretch blow molding machines, HDPE extrusion blow molding machines, automated edible oil filling and packaging equipment, extensive conveyor systems, and automatic palletizing machinery. Duties
- Lead and support mechanical assembly, installation, alignment and commissioning of new industrial machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial control system faults.
- Diagnose PLC-controlled machinery, sensors, motors, variable frequency drives and automated equipment.
- Operate production machinery during startup, testing and troubleshooting.
- Establish and maintain preventive maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, reduce downtime and improve production efficiency.
- Coordinate with overseas equipment manufacturers to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Support safe integration of blow molding machines, filling equipment, conveyors and palletizing systems.
- Train machine operators in proper equipment usage,



maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
- Maintain technical records, maintenance logs, spare-parts inventories and equipment documentation.
- Work with qualified outside contractors and specialists when required for electrical, engineering and regulatory compliance work. Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance, machinery installation or commissioning experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes and mechanical drive systems.
- Experience with automated production machinery and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, sensors, VFDs and industrial electrical control systems.
- Demonstrated experience installing or commissioning industrial equipment.
- Understanding of industrial machine safety, guarding and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to independently diagnose machinery problems and implement safe, effective solutions. Pay: From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
