H3N1B5 Montreal, Quebec Accommodation: Free room and board provided Language Requirement: Punjabi-speaking, English and or French Cooking Requirement: Ability to prepare traditional Punjabi meals Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Punjabi-speaking live-in caregiver to provide daily assistance and companionship to our 94-year-old grandmother in a comfortable family home. The ideal candidate will be caring, respectful, and experienced in supporting elderly individuals. The caregiver must be able to communicate fluently in Punjabi and prepare traditional home-cooked Punjabi meals according to our grandmother's preferences and dietary needs. Private accommodation and meals will be provided at no cost.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care, companionship, and emotional support to our 94-year-old grandmother.
- Communicate with her in Punjabi to ensure comfort, understanding, and companionship.
- Prepare fresh, nutritious, traditional Punjabi meals, including roti, sabzi, dal, and other home-style dishes.
- Assist with daily routines, personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility as required.
- Provide medication reminders according to family instructions.
- Encourage gentle physical activity, conversation, and meaningful daily engagement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, peaceful, and comfortable living environment.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning related to grandmother's daily needs.




- Monitor her general well-being and promptly communicate any concerns to family members.
- Respect her privacy, dignity, cultural traditions, and personal preferences. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Fluent Punjabi communication is essential.
- Ability to cook traditional Punjabi food is essential.
- Experience caring for seniors, preferably individuals aged 85 and older.
- Kind, patient, trustworthy, attentive, and respectful personality.
- Ability to assist with daily living activities and mobility needs.
- Basic understanding of elderly care, hygiene, and household safety.
- Positive communication skills and ability to follow family instructions.
- First aid or CPR certification is an asset.
