Job Summary CCS Education is seeking knowledgeable and dedicated Secondary Science Teachers to join our teaching team at our North Surrey campus. The successful candidate will teach middle and high school science courses, helping students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts, critical thinking skills, and effective problem-solving strategies. Our available courses include Science 8–10, Biology 11–12, Chemistry 11–12, and Physics 11–12. Course assignments will be arranged based on the candidate's academic background, teaching experience, areas of expertise, and the centre's scheduling needs. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching, able to explain complex scientific concepts clearly, and committed to supporting students' academic success. Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons for students in Grades 8–12.
- Teach science courses in areas such as General Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, based on qualifications and teaching experience.
- Explain scientific concepts clearly and help students develop a solid understanding of key topics.
- Prepare lesson materials, practice questions, assignments, and review activities to reinforce students' learning.
- Help students develop scientific inquiry, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Assess students' understanding and monitor their academic progress through classwork, quizzes,



tests, and other assessments.
- Provide individualized support based on students' learning needs and academic levels.
- Prepare students for school assignments, unit tests, and examinations.
- Communicate students' progress and relevant learning concerns with the centre when necessary. Requirements Required:
- A strong academic background in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
- Robust subject knowledge in at least one of the science subjects offered.
- Ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Patience, responsibility, and a genuine interest in teaching and supporting students.
- Ability to prepare structured lessons and adapt teaching methods to students' learning needs. Preferred:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Education, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring middle or high school students.
- Familiarity with the BC curriculum, particularly Grades 8–12 science courses.
- Experience preparing students for school examinations and academic assessments.
- A BC teaching certificate or relevant teaching qualifications would be an asset. Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 – 6.0 per week Work
