Job Summary VIS Mechanical Ltd is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead our electrical crews on projects in Nanaimo and the surrounding area. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll run jobs from the field, keep your crew safe and productive, and make sure the work is done right and on schedule. Responsibilities
- Lead and direct electricians on site
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and schematics
- Plan daily work and coordinate labour and materials to meet project timelines
- Make sure all work meets the BC Electrical Code, Technical Safety BC requirements, and company standards
- Lead toolbox talks and enforce WorkSafeBC and site safety practices
- Walk the site regularly to check progress, quality, and safety, and address issues early
- Coordinate with project managers, other trades, inspectors, and customers
- Track hours, materials, and job progress, and keep records of change orders and safety reports
- Complete testing, quality checks, and commissioning




- Perform hands-on electrical work as needed Qualifications
- Journeyperson Construction Electrician (442A) with a valid BC Certificate of Qualification (Red Seal endorsement preferred)
- 5+ years of experience as a journeyperson, including experience leading or supervising a crew
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code with BC amendments
- Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and specifications
- Solid understanding of workplace safety requirements
- Valuable communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work with project managers, other trades, and customers
