About Treehouse Child and Youth Advocacy Centre Treehouse Child and Youth Advocacy Centre is a community-based organization supporting children and youth who have experienced abuse, and their families. We bring police, child protection, victim support and mental health professionals together in a welcoming, child-friendly space so families can access coordinated care and support. Our work helps the systems around children respond to their individual needs, reducing the burden on families as they navigate what comes next. Through coordinated interviews, counselling and support for court participation, we help children feel safe, supported and able to begin healing. · Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan that supports Treehouse’s priorities.
· Coordinate individual giving campaigns, donor appeals and stewardship activities.
· Identify prospective donors and funding opportunities to help grow and diversify revenue.
· Build and maintain donor relationships through consistent outreach, personalized follow-up and recognition.
· Support grant applications and reports in collaboration with the CEO and program leads. Prepare the CEO and other team members for donor meetings and funding conversations.
· Maintain accurate donor records, track engagement and monitor fundraising results to inform future efforts.
· Help coordinate fundraising events and donor meetings. 2. Communications
· Create donor communications, including thank-you letters, campaign materials and impact updates.
· Write and coordinate content for newsletters, social media, our website and impact reports.
· Work with colleagues and partners to communicate Treehouse’s impact accurately and respectfully.
· Ensure communications reflect Treehouse’s voice, values and trauma-informed approach. What you’ll bring
· At least three years of experience in fund development or donor engagement, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
· Experience coordinating fundraising campaigns and cultivating and stewarding donor relationships.
· The ability to turn fundraising priorities into an organized plan and follow through.
· Strong writing skills, including the ability to create compelling donor appeals and communicate the impact of a gift.
· Familiarity with donor databases or CRM tools and careful attention to recordkeeping and confidentiality.
· Strong organizational skills and sound judgement in managing competing priorities.
· A warm, skilled approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· An understanding of trauma-informed communication and respectful, inclusive storytelling.
· Relevant post-secondary education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience with grant writing, digital communications and fundraising events would be an asset.
