In addition to our traditional funeral services, we are proud to have an onsite Alkaline Hydrolysis ( also known as Aquamation or water based cremation) as a thoughtful, environmentally-friendly option for families who are seeking alternatives to conventional cremation. As we continue to evolve and meet the needs of our community, we are looking for a compassionate Funeral Director/ Embalmer to help guide families through this meaningful journey. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with an historical funeral home, build in 1912, while embracing modern advancements in a way that respects the past and provides exceptional care for the future. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate guidance to families during their most difficult times, assisting them in making thoughtful decisions about funeral arrangements, including the option of alkaline hydrolysis. Ensure families feel supported, heard, and respected throughout the entire process
- Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, including planning ceremonies, coordinating with clergy, cemeteries and cremation services.
- Training for the operation of Alkaline Hydrolysis. Ensuring it is carried out with the highest standards of safety, respect and environmental responsibility.



Educate families about this option and ensure they are informed, comfortable and confident in their choice
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment, providing guidance and professional development to enhance the team performance.
- Ensure the funeral home is clean, organized and welcoming for families
- Coordinate and manage the protected and respectful transfer of decedents from hospitals, nursing homes, residences or other facilities to the funeral home
- perform embalming procedures as required, ensuring the highest standards of care, sanitation, and professionalism.
- ensuring that Provincial regulations are adhered to regarding Funeral services, embalming and Alkaline Hydrolysis Experience
- Previous experience in a funeral home or related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with grieving families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during service preparations and transport arrangements.
- Experience in sales or customer service is a plus, enhancing the ability to guide families in making informed decisions regarding their options We invite qualified candidates who are committed to providing exceptional service during difficult times to apply for this rewarding position as a Funeral Director. Pay: $35,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
