Job Overview
- The Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper supports daily kitchen operations by keeping dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas clean and ready for service.
- This hands-on role also assists with basic food preparation and meal preparation while following established food safety and sanitation practices.
- Restaurant, kitchen, or food service experience is helpful but not required. Training on workplace procedures may be provided. Duties
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Put clean items away in their designated storage areas and maintain an organized dishwashing station.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients, as directed.
- Help with meal preparation and basic cooking tasks when needed and within training.
- Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean throughout the shift.
- Handle food and cleaning supplies safely, and follow food safety and sanitation procedures.




- Support kitchen and serving staff during busy periods, including restocking supplies and helping maintain an orderly service area.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and report equipment or supply issues to a supervisor. Skills
- Interest in kitchen work and willingness to learn food preparation, meal preparation, and basic cooking tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and established food safety and food handling practices.
- Dependable, organized, and attentive to cleanliness.
- Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen and serving staff in a fast-paced workplace.
- Restaurant experience, kitchen experience, food service experience, or experience in the food industry is a plus.
- Serving experience is helpful but not required. Pay: $17.60-$25.72 per hour
