- The opportunity to build lasting relationships within the Squamish community About your role You’ll provide personalized dental hygiene care while helping patients understand their oral health and feel comfortable with their treatment. We’re seeking someone who listens carefully, explains recommendations clearly, and makes patients feel welcome in the chair. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and updating patients’ medical and dental histories
- Assessing periodontal health and documenting findings
- Planning and providing dental hygiene treatment tailored to individual needs
- Performing scaling, root planing, polishing, and preventive treatments within your scope of practice
- Taking diagnostic radiographs as appropriate
- Providing practical education on home care and periodontal maintenance
- Discussing findings and recommendations with patients in a clear, supportive way
- Helping anxious patients feel at ease through patience and reassurance
- Maintaining complete, accurate clinical records
- Communicating with dentists and the administrative team to support continuity of care
- Following infection prevention and control protocols
