Job Summary Nuhn Industries Ltd. is a family-owned agricultural manufacturing company, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work closely with an experienced engineering team to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of Nuhn equipment. This role combines equipment development, detailed mechanical design, and hands-on collaboration with manufacturing to bring new concepts from idea to production. The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a key role in developing innovative solutions that enhance the performance, reliability, and manufacturability of our products. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service teams to support recent equipment development and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for agricultural equipment including tankers, pumping systems, application equipment, and related machinery
- Create detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials using CAD software
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure components meet strength, durability, and performance requirements
- Work closely with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
- Support prototype builds, testing,



and validation of new products and design improvements
- Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives for existing products
- Assist with field testing and evaluation of equipment performance when required
- Select materials and components based on performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and cost considerations
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, service Skills & Experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability
- Solid understanding of machine design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Experience designing fabricated structures and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A hands-on mindset with interest in seeing designs implemented in production Experience with the following systems is considered an asset:
- Hydraulic systems and fluid power components
- Agricultural or heavy mobile equipment
- Pumps, drivetrains, or power transmission systems
- Welded steel fabrications and structural design




- Manufacturing processes including welding, machining, and assembly

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
- Experience using 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
