The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including overseeing the sales team, managing customer relations and ensuring overall store performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities:

- Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Lead, develop and motivate a team to consistently deliver prompt, courteous and excellent customer service
- Ensure estimates and sales transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Respond promptly to customer complaints and work to resolve issues effectively and professionally
- Follow established procedures to help prevent inventory loss, theft, and damage to store property




- Direct merchandising plans in the store to maintain effective product displays and ensure the store is clean and organized
- Schedule deliveries in an efficient and timely manner
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all store functions
- Attend training courses and meetings as required by management (occasional travel may be required) The Ideal Candidate:
- Has completed post-secondary education in business administration or a related field
- Has a minimum of 5 years of successful experience managing a sales team in a retail environment
- Possesses strong knowledge of hardware, building materials and related products
- Demonstrates professionalism and a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Has the ability to accept guidance and direction from senior management while exercising sound independent judgement in daily operations
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively delegate responsibilities, guide, support and motivate employees
- Has excellent computer, organization and communication skills
- Is punctual and reliable
