About the role
Nirvana: The Flavours of India is a busy Indian restaurant in Mississauga. We are looking for an experienced receptionist to run our front desk — the first face and voice our guests meet. What you will do
- Greet walk-in guests, seat them, and manage the waitlist on busy nights
- Answer the phone: take reservations, phone takeout orders, and guest questions
- Take reservations by phone and in person (date, time, guests, name, phone number)
- Hand delivery courier orders (Skip, Uber Eats, DoorDash) to couriers quickly
- Take catering enquiry details and pass them to the manager the same day
- Sell gift cards at the front desk
- Record guest visits and feedback on our table tracker
- Escalate complaints to the manager right away What we need




- Previous receptionist, host, or front-desk experience (required)
- Friendly, skilled phone manner and good English
- Able to stay calm and organised on busy Friday and Saturday nights
- Available evenings and weekends
- Legally eligible to work in Canada Hours
- Lunch service daily 12:00–3:00 PM; dinner Sun–Thu 5:30–10:00 PM, Fri–Sat 5:00–10:30 PM
- Shifts are evenings and weekends, scheduled around service hours
