Associate Lawyer – Estates Duensing Law is a growing boutique law firm in Toronto focused on estates law and residential real estate. Our practice includes estate planning, estate administration and probate, estate litigation, and transactional residential real estate. We are seeking an Associate Lawyer to join our team. This position is ideal for a lawyer who has experience of at least two years in one of our core practice areas, can manage files independently, and is looking to grow within a modern, and system-driven boutique firm. Experience in all of our practice areas is not required. If you bring experience in one area, we are prepared to help you develop in the others.

About the Role
The successful candidate will work on matters in one or more of the following areas:
- Estate planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Estate litigation
- Residential real estate purchases, sales, and refinances Depending on experience and file needs, the role may also include court appearances. This position can be structured as full-time or part time, with flexible

Key Responsibilities

- Manage files independently and responsibly from opening to completion
- Advise clients in one or more of the firm’s practice areas
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and other materials
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, financial institutions, lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders
- Identify issues early and take initiative in moving files forward
- Deliver work product that is accurate, timely, practical, and well organized
- Contribute to the continued growth of the firm through initiative, relationship-building, and business development Qualifications
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario




- Experience of at least two years in one of the firm’s practice areas:
- Ability to manage files with a meaningful degree of independence
- Strong drafting, organizational, and client communication skills
