About the Role
La Vie en Bois is seeking a skilled Cabinetry and Millwork Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will use and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery to carry out adjustments, repairs, maintenance, and replacements of custom cabinetry and millwork on residential and commercial job sites. You will troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues to ensure every project is completed with superior craftsmanship. You will also work closely with internal and external teams to keep projects on schedule and ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete project adjustments, repairs, maintenance, and replacements according to plans for residential and commercial job sites
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure precise installation
- Troubleshoot and solve a variety of on-site issues and challenges by applying sound craftsmanship practices and judgment to overcome complications
- Discuss project site issues and design issues with internal and external teams for resolution
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively to shape, cut, and join moldings, wood materials, and hardware
- Measure, level, and adjust products to complete projects meticulously
- Manually handle cabinets and millwork products
- Install back-ordered items
- Communicate with the production team to resolve service needs
- Deliver projects on time and within agreed timelines
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers, builders, trades, and team members
- Submit daily reports, timesheets, and project progress updates
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment both on-site and in the shop
- Represent LVEB professionally with customers, builders, and trades Essential Qualifications




- Minimum 3 years of experience in custom cabinet and millwork installation for residential and commercial job sites
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding work
- Ability to read and interpret project blueprints and plans accurately
- Ability to assemble, adjust, and repair cabinetry and millwork
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Attentive to detail, meticulous, and committed to handling products with care
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable, with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated accountability and a client-centered approach on every project
- Proficiency in either English or French; bilingualism is an asset Assets
- Diploma in a relevant program such as cabinetmaking, carpentry, millwork, or woodworking, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience
