We're Hiring: Structural Engineer & Project Coordinator Company: MEM Engineering Inc.

Experience:
2–3 years of relevant experience preferred About MEM Engineering Inc. MEM Engineering Inc. is an Ontario-based engineering and design firm providing structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and architectural design services. We also assist clients with building permits, municipal approvals, structural assessments, and project management. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer with strong project coordination skills to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities
Structural Engineering & Design
- Prepare, review, and coordinate structural drawings and design documentation.
- Assist with structural design calculations and analysis for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Prepare structural details, framing layouts, foundation plans, and construction drawings.
- Review architectural drawings and coordinate structural requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with the Ontario Building Code and applicable engineering standards.
- Assist with site reviews, structural assessments, and preparation of technical reports. Project Coordination
- Coordinate projects from initial client requirements through design and permit submission.
- Communicate with clients, architects, designers, contractors, and municipal authorities.
- Coordinate with internal architectural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and submission deadlines.
- Follow up on outstanding project information, revisions,



and municipal comments.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion.
- Identify project requirements and communicate potential issues to the relevant team members. Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 1–3 years of relevant structural engineering or structural drafting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of structural systems, building materials, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and applicable structural design standards.
- Experience with residential and commercial building projects is an asset.
- Robust organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in project coordination or client communication is preferred. What We Are Looking For
