Job Overview Abadi Premier Holdings is a Halifax-based construction and development company working on projects across the Halifax Regional Municipality. We run tight, well-managed sites where skilled operators are respected and safety comes first. We're looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our crew and dig in with us. As our Excavator Operator, you'll run excavators and related heavy equipment on residential, commercial, and civil projects across HRM. You'll handle trenching, grading, excavation, and material handling, working closely with site supervisors and ground crews to keep projects on schedule and to spec. - Operate excavators safely and efficiently for trenching, grading, excavation, and material handling
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance; report issues promptly
- Read and interpret site plans, grades, and utility locates
- Work closely with ground crews, supervisors, and other operators to coordinate site activity
- Excavate around underground utilities with care and precision
- Maintain a clean,
protected work area and follow all site safety procedures
- Support other equipment operation and general site duties as needed Qualifications
- 3+ years of excavator operating experience (construction or civil projects preferred)
- Experience with trenching, grading, and utility excavation
- Knowledge of Nova Scotia OHS regulations and safe digging practices
- Ability to read site plans and follow grade stakes
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to sites across HRM
- Excavator operator certification or training is an asset
- Experience with other heavy equipment (backhoe, dozer, loader) is an asset Pay: $29.30-$38.69 per hour
