Join Our Team We are looking for a dependable and motivated Hotel Maintenance Team Member to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North. In this role, you will help maintain a protected, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, furniture, and equipment.
- Inspect building systems and equipment to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and monitoring of hotel pool systems, including water chemistry, testing, and chemical balancing.
- Assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, refrigeration units, dishwashers, and other food service equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and team members.
- Complete preventative maintenance and accurately document work orders.
- Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all health, safety, and hotel brand standards.
- Assist with emergencies and support hotel safety procedures as required.
- Work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Qualifications
- Previous experience in general hotel maintenance,



building maintenance, or a related field.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs, is strongly preferred.
- Pool Operator Certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Knowledge of pool operations, water testing, chemical balancing, and applicable safety requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive, helpful attitude.
- Hotel experience and previous customer service or guest-facing experience are considered assets.
