About Squarefoot Flooring Squarefoot Flooring is an established flooring retailer specializing in hardwood, engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl, laminate, porcelain tile, carpet and flooring accessories. We serve homeowners, contractors, builders and renovation professionals. We are looking for an experienced, motivated and customer-focused Flooring Sales Consultant to join our showroom team. This is a hands-on sales position for someone who enjoys working with customers, understands how to close sales and takes pride in providing knowledgeable product recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers visiting our flooring showroom.
- Understand customer requirements, budgets and project specifications.
- Recommend suitable flooring products based on appearance, performance and price.
- Explain differences between hardwood, vinyl, laminate, tile and carpet.
- Prepare accurate quotations, calculate flooring quantities and process customer orders.
- Follow up with customers who have received quotations and convert inquiries into sales.
- Respond to incoming phone calls, emails and online sales inquiries.
- Build relationships with contractors, designers and repeat customers.
- Recommend appropriate underlayment, transitions, trims, adhesives and accessories.
- Explain installation options and coordinate with the operations team when needed.
- Maintain accurate customer records and follow-up schedules.
- Meet individual sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service. Qualifications Required
- Previous retail sales or showroom sales experience.
- Solid communication and customer service skills.




- Confidence in approaching customers, presenting products and closing sales.
- Ability to calculate square footage and prepare accurate quotations.
- Basic computer skills and experience working with sales or POS software.
- Strong organization, reliability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strongly Preferred
- Previous flooring sales experience.
- Knowledge of engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl, laminate, porcelain tile or carpet.
- Experience selling to homeowners and contractors.
- Familiarity with flooring installation materials and accessories.
- Established relationships with contractors or renovation professionals.
