Overview As a crane operator, you operate crane equipment to lift, move, and position materials safely and accurately. You coordinate each lift with colleagues, follow site procedures, and communicate clearly to support efficient work and protect people and equipment. Responsibilities
- Inspect crane equipment and work areas before lifting; report concerns and follow established operating procedures.
- Position and operate the crane to move loads as directed, maintaining awareness of surroundings and lift conditions.
- Keep equipment and work areas orderly, and provide courteous, professional service when working with customers. Skills Required: Practical crane operating capability, explicit communication and the ability to coordinate safely with colleagues during lifts. Preferred: metal company experience.
