- 0700) Overtime Methodology: Averaging Agreement (overtime applies after 88 hours) ## Site Overview As a Rapid Response Guard, you will support a diverse portfolio of properties throughout the Hamilton area, ranging from bustling healthcare facilities and retail spaces to high-security industrial sites and office towers. This position provides dynamic daily work environments where shift locations are assigned based on client needs, giving you comprehensive experience across multiple sectors. ## What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting thorough patrols across assigned sites to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitoring access control points to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
- Operating monitoring equipment, including CCTV cameras and alarm panels, and reporting safety concerns promptly.
- Responding swiftly to on-site emergencies, medical calls, fire alarms, and critical incidents, including leading safe evacuations.
- Greeting visitors, staff, and clients professionally while assisting with inquiries and enforcing site policies.
- De-escalating tense or disruptive situations calmly and effectively.
- Writing accurate, detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and site documentation.
- Traveling reliably between assigned site locations across Hamilton. ## Must Haves
- Valid Ontario Security License.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.




- Ownership of a reliable personal vehicle for travel between sites.
- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and a completed two-step TB skin test.
- Ability to maintain a clean-shaven face to meet N95 mask fit-test requirements.
- Physical capability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Solid written and spoken English communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work full-time hours in Canada.
- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), or willingness to complete Paladin's free pre-employment training program prior to onboarding (requires a 6-month commitment). ## Nice-to-Haves
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License.
- Educational background in Police Foundations, Criminology, Protection Security and Investigation (PSI), or Border Services. ## What's In It For You?
