ABOUT CONTROLS & EQUIPMENT Controls & Equipment Ltd. (C&E;) is an established Atlantic Canadian company specializing in building automation, energy management, security systems, HVAC and mechanical services. Headquartered in Moncton, we serve customers through seven branches across Atlantic Canada. THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking a practical, hands-on IT leader to manage internal technology operations and shape our technology priorities. Reporting to the President, you will lead a Microsoft-based, multi-site setting, supervise a Junior IT Administrator and work with external technology specialists. Established 24/7 external cybersecurity monitoring supports our internal IT team. WHAT YOU WILL DO• Lead IT planning, budgets, vendors, licensing, projects and continuous improvement.• Oversee Microsoft 365, cloud services, servers, virtualization, networking and communications.• Manage cybersecurity governance, identity and access controls, remediation and external security coordination.• Maintain backup, recovery and continuity plans; coordinate significant incident response.• Support essential business applications and reliable IT services across C&E.;• Develop internal IT support,



handle complex escalations and improve documentation. WHAT YOU BRING• Eight or more years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on infrastructure, cloud and networking.• Experience leading projects, managing providers and supervising or mentoring technical staff.• Strong Microsoft platform knowledge and experience in cybersecurity, recovery and IT service management.• Sound judgment and clear communication of technical risks, costs and business priorities.• Relevant post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Microsoft Azure or security certifications and experience in multi-location service businesses are assets. WHY JOIN C&E;?
