Position Overview The UNIX Midrange Support resource will ensure a secure, highly available Data Centre workplace to support SaskPower's business requirements. The role involves monitoring and managing systems, platforms and environments for availability, capacity and performance. The resource will proactively manage configuration, asset reporting and refresh activities to minimize the risk of service disruption. Responsibilities include backup and recovery, disaster recovery, high availability environments, incident and problem management, and coordination with third parties to ensure compliance with best practices, SaskPower policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Qualifications and Experience Education and Certifications
- Computer Engineering / Computer Science degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Demonstrated record of continuous improvement.
- ITIL Certification (Foundation, Service Manager). Mandatory Experience
- Midrange Server configuration and administration (Linux/AIX). Desired Experience
- SAN/NAS Storage experience (IBM SVC, NetApp).
- Azure Linux host and storage experience.
- NetBackup experience.
