Job description
We are currently looking to add Fitter/Welders to our team We are searching for a professional and driven employee to fill a full-time, permanent position at Brent’s Welding and Fabrication Inc. The Welder / General Labourer supports fabrication and assembly work through welding, material handling, and general shop tasks. The role uses practical skills and attention to detail to help keep work accurate, organized, and moving safely through production. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, and fabrication tasks using hand tools and power tools.
- Welding repairs on damaged products
- Fitting, welding, and fabrication of small to large scale jobs
- Fabricating new products from shop drawings and sketches
- Read blueprints and schematics; use calipers and basic math to checkmeasurements and support machining, press brake, and assembly work.
- Assist with rigging, crane and forklift operations, material movement, andgeneral labour tasks.
- Support manufacturing, or construction-related work as assigned, following safework practices and coordinating with the team.
- Complete setup and proper maintenance of welding equipment
- Your impact: Accurate fabrication and dependable material support helpcolleagues complete work efficiently and to specification.
- Fabrication and welding of the following but not limited to handrails, structuralsteel, aluminum, trailer repairs, bin repairs, and other projects Experience Required: Practical welding ability, including MIG or TIG processes, and the ability to use hand and power tools,



follow work instructions, and measure accurately with basic math and calipers. Preferred: Experience with blueprint reading, schematics, plasma cutting, machining, press brake machines, rigging, cranes, forklifts, and assembly; mechanical knowledge and manufacturing, ductwork, or construction experience are valuable.
- Fitting: 3 years (required)
- Welding: 3 years (required)
- aluminum welding: 1 year (preferred)
- Full G Drivers licence driving a commercial truck (preferred) What skills, assets, and experience we require:
- Three years of fitting experience
- Three years of welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications with little to noassistance
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift experience or ticket considered an asset
- CWB welding tickets
