About the Role
Join our engineering team to bridge the gap between AI experimentation and enterprise reality. Working closely with Data Scientists and core technology teams, you will build, productionize, deploy, and operate robust AI/ML solutions specifically on the Azure Databricks platform. Your primary mission is to transform Machine Learning and Generative AI models into reliable, scalable, secure, and production-ready workloads. You will take ownership of the full MLOps lifecycle, model deployment, and production monitoring. From scaling batch scoring and real-time inference pipelines to developing reusable AI/ML platform templates, your engineering choices will directly drive cost efficiency, operational reliability, and platform speed.
Key Responsibilities
• AI/ML Engineering & Productionization: Partner with Data Scientists to build production-grade batch scoring, real-time inference, and model-serving pipelines. Implement end-to-end model lifecycle management including deployment, versioning, promotion, and rollbacks.
• MLOps & Platform Automation:
Construct reusable AI/ML deployment patterns using Azure Databricks, MLflow, Unity Catalog, Databricks Asset Bundles, and CI/CD pipelines. Automate environment promotion across DEV, UAT, and PROD.
• Generative AI Engineering: Productionize enterprise Generative AI solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic retrieval, knowledge-grounded applications, and agentic workflows using approved orchestration frameworks.
• Production Operations & Monitoring: Implement rigorous monitoring systems for model performance, model drift, data quality, and endpoint reliability. Troubleshoot production issues and develop operational runbooks. Required Skills & Qualifications
•
Experience:
5+ years of professional software, data, ML, or AI engineering experience, featuring a proven track record of managing live, production-grade ML workloads.
• Core Languages & Systems: Robust programming proficiency in Python and SQL, combined with deep hands-on experience using Azure Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Platform Tooling: Proven experience with MLflow, Unity Catalog, Databricks Asset Bundles, Model Serving, and Databricks Apps.
• Generative AI Delivery: Working knowledge and implementation experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, semantic/vector retrieval, and prompt engineering.
• Logistics Constraints: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and fully aligned with a remote 12-month contract at CAD $55/Hour.
