About the Position We are seeking an experienced, reliable and motivated Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant to join our established small-animal practice. Previous veterinary clinic experience is essential. We are looking for someone who is confident in client communication, appointment scheduling, animal handling and assisting veterinarians. The ideal candidate should be proactive, organized and capable of working independently.

Key Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls professionally and efficiently schedule appointments.
- Provide excellent customer service and follow up with clients.
- Maintain medical records, process payments and manage reception duties.
- Communicate with clients regarding veterinary services, vaccinations and preventive care.
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments and surgical procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats.
- Assist with patient care, laboratory procedures and preparation of medical equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient hospital environment. Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary clinic experience required; 3 or more years strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures and preventive care.
- Previous experience in veterinary reception and animal handling.
- Excellent telephone communication, customer service and appointment scheduling skills.
- Proficiency with computers and veterinary practice-management software.




- Solid organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Reliable, compassionate, punctual and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin or others is considered a valuable asset. Strong English communication skills are essential.
